Shauna Sheridan is a Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist with extensive experience in chronic lung diseases and neuromuscular disorders. Graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, Shauna moved to the UK to work in the NHS. Soon, she found her passion within respiratory medicine and worked as Highly Specialist Respiratory physiotherapist at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation trust. Here, she spent several years working in a specialist weaning & ventilation unit as the clinical co-ordinator and specialist physiotherapist for the Motor Neurone disease service. During this time, she undertook her cardiorespiratory masters at UCL, further solidifying her clinical knowledge & skills.

In more recent years, Shauna has worked within the Adult lung team at the Royal Brompton Hospital, treating individuals with a range of acute and chronic lung conditions both on the inpatient setting and in private outpatients.

Shauna is passionate about educating and supporting individuals affected by respiratory conditions. She strongly advocates improving clinical awareness of complex respiratory conditions in the wider healthcare community. She regularly teaches on MNDa study days, hospice and other forums.
